Woodstock is holding its annual Community Investment Awards Reception on May 18, 2017, at Roosevelt University!
Woodstock Institute is pleased to be holding our 2017 Community Investment Awards reception celebrating the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) at 40 years old on May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Roosevelt University. We are further excited to announce that the evening’s program will be honoring National Community Reinvestment Coalition, highlighting the organization’s hard-won successes in using CRA towards progressive, community-oriented ends.
As a coalition of grassroots organizations that works to champion fairness in banking, housing and business development, NCRC has helmed many hugely successful CRA negotiations and community benefits agreements. We will be honoring NCRC specifically for its excellence in CRA work, including negotiation of three major CRA plans with banks in 2016 that will result in over $62 billion in lending, investments, and retail financial services in underserved low- and moderate-income communities. NCRC COO Jesse van Tol will accept the award and share his insights on the past and future of CRA.
This reception is recognized as one of the largest gatherings of community development professionals (bankers, other financial institutions, community groups, regulators, philanthropists, elected officials, and others) in the Midwest.
Tickets can be found at our Eventbrite page here.
