Alexis leads Woodstock’s Marketing and Communications department and drives development and fundraising through those efforts. Working with senior staff, Alexis has developed and is implementing a strategy to refresh Woodstock’s credible brand and how Woodstock shares its work. She has a strong background in multi-media communications, campaign management, social and web creation, integrated film production and event management that advances awareness of financial issues in low- and moderate-income communities.
Prior to joining Woodstock, Alexis served as a Vice President, Communications at Citi Community Development and brings her knowledge and skill-set to the non-profits with whom she partnered. “Communications function best when it aligns corporations, foundations, non-profits, and policymakers to work together to tell stories of our communities in a thoughtful and honest way that shines a light on the issues and the work that needs to be done. The power of film is that it’s often one of the most effective forms of advocacy for all parties and greatly impacts the people we aim to serve.”
Alexis received her B.A. from Columbia College Chicago with a concentration in Film Production and Screenwriting.
